Over the summer, Kevin McDonald of the Comedy Central show "Kids in the Hall" reached out to our Artistic Director, Mike Carr, about making a visit to Orlando. Lorne Michaels, executive producer of Saturday Night Live, had produced "Kids in the Hall" in the 90's making it a seminal sketch group that changed the face of sketch comedy at that time. After doing an email double take, confirming the identity of the sender and taking a long shower, Mike began working out the details with Kevin for an Orlando visit consisting of shows and a sketch writing and improv intensive. We currently have two shows with Kevin on the calendar and online ticketing is open. He will also be teaching a 14 hour intensive on his process of creating polished, written sketches from improvised material. We are greatly looking forward to November 23rd!
