NOTE: We ask that students who've previously taken this class to wait several days after registration opening, to give new students a chance to enroll. *We will be following health guidelines and will require participants to wear a mask/face covering for this class.* In this series of advanced improv workshops, Rob Ward will serve as a show director, as well as a coach and mentor, as students will focus on turning classroom-based improv into "show" improv. Heavy emphasis will be on the audience experience, while also crafting short-form scenework, deconstructing the standard games, and developing individual show personas to all combine for a satisfying high-energy show. This 8-week program will include two live show performances, with a post-show in-depth dissection of audience feedback. Prerequisite: completion of SAK level four. Graduates of this workshop will be eligible for the SAK in-house auditions, once they resume. Rob Ward has been a show director for Walt Disney World Resorts, Norwegian Cruise Line, Blue Man Group, Nickelodeon, and many other large-scale entertainment leaders.
