This introductory course is geared towards anyone interested in learning the foundation of voice over technique, all from the comfort of your living room. With an emphasis on story telling and strong acting, we’ll cover commercials, animation, script analysis, improvising for voice over, and getting comfortable behind the mic. As the industry pushes itself further into remote recording, here’s your chance to get in! No prior voice over experience necessary.
TECH requirements: a good internet connection, a device with audio and video capabilities, and a quiet place to participate in class from. We’ll be using the Zoom app. You don’t need an account to join the class since the teacher will email an invitation to you, and you'll join the class on your device. Daniel Cohen is a voice actor based in Los Angeles with an extensive improv background. He received his BFA in acting from Emerson college and has trained at The Groundlings Theater, the Upright Citizens Brigade, and iOWest. Daniel has worked in Animation, Voice Dubbing, Commercials, and Video games. He’s currently cast in Lego City Adventures on Nickelodeon, as well as Lucy WOW on the GoKidGo podcast network, and Francis Pope in in Paramount Plus's Big Nate. Previous voice credits include Neon Genesis Evangelion and Cagaster of an Insect Cage.
